Before choosing hydraulic oil, we must first have a comprehensive understanding of the specific working conditions of the hydraulic system. If the hydraulic system is in a high temperature environment for a long time, the anti-oxidation performance of the hydraulic oil is particularly important. Because high temperature will accelerate the oxidation reaction of the hydraulic oil, causing the oil to deteriorate, produce impurities such as sludge, block the hydraulic components, and affect the normal operation of the system. For hydraulic systems working in low temperature environments, the low-temperature fluidity of the hydraulic oil is crucial. When the temperature drops to a certain level, ordinary hydraulic oil will become viscous, the fluidity will deteriorate, and even solidify, causing the hydraulic pump to be unable to absorb oil normally and the hydraulic system to be unable to start.
Viscosity is a key physical property of hydraulic oil, which has a direct impact on the operating efficiency and component wear of the hydraulic system. If the viscosity of the hydraulic oil is too high, the internal leakage of the hydraulic pump will be reduced, but it will also increase the power consumption of driving the hydraulic pump, reduce the volumetric efficiency of the system, and increase the friction resistance of the hydraulic components, generate more heat, and accelerate the aging of the oil. If the viscosity is too low, although it can reduce the driving power of the hydraulic pump, it will increase the internal leakage of the hydraulic pump, reduce the pressure transmission efficiency of the system, and also aggravate the wear of the hydraulic components and shorten the service life of the components. We usually choose hydraulic oil with appropriate viscosity based on the pressure, temperature, speed and other parameters of the hydraulic system.
The cleanliness of hydraulic oil directly affects the reliability of the hydraulic system. Impurities in hydraulic oil, such as metal particles, dust, fibers, etc., will block the oil channels of hydraulic components, accelerate component wear, and cause failures. Therefore, we pay great attention to the cleanliness of hydraulic oil and select hydraulic oil with strict control of impurity content during the production process. At the same time, the filtration performance of hydraulic oil cannot be ignored. Even if the hydraulic oil itself has a high cleanliness, some impurities such as wear particles will still be generated during the operation of the hydraulic system. Hydraulic oil with good filtration performance can work well with the filter in the hydraulic system, making it easier to filter out impurities and keep the hydraulic oil clean. During the manufacturing process of hydraulic cylinders, we will conduct strict hydraulic oil cleanliness testing, and select suitable hydraulic oil according to the filtration accuracy requirements of the hydraulic system to ensure the long-term and stable operation of the hydraulic system.
