There are many forms of hydraulic cylinders, which are divided into plunger hydraulic cylinders, piston hydraulic cylinders, and oscillating hydraulic cylinders according to their different structural types.
The plunger hydraulic cylinder is a single-acting cylinder, that is, it is pushed by pressure oil when working, and the return is completed by spring or self-weight. The inner wall of the cylinder does not need to be finished, the manufacturability is good, the cost is low, and the manufacturing is easy. It is suitable for occasions with long strokes, such as guide rail grinders and gantry planers.
Piston hydraulic cylinders are single-rod piston, double-rod piston and rodless piston. The single-rod piston hydraulic cylinder is easily converted into a differential connection through the reversing valve to obtain the function of fast extension, so as to obtain three speeds of fast expansion, slow expansion and fast contraction, which expands its application range. The piston of the double-rod piston hydraulic cylinder has piston rods on both sides, and the diameter of the two rods is equal. Therefore, the compression area on both sides of the piston is equal. If the piston rod is fixed, the length of its range of motion is about twice the working stroke.
The oscillating hydraulic cylinder can realize the reciprocating swing motion at an angle of less than 360°, and there are two main structural forms: single-blade type and double-blade type. The characteristics of the oscillating hydraulic cylinder are compact and the output torque is large, but the sealing is difficult, and it is generally only used in medium and low pressure systems.
When selecting hydraulic cylinders, it is necessary to decide which type of hydraulic cylinder to use according to the needs of the actual application. Proper selection of hydraulic cylinder type and specification is essential to improve the performance and efficiency of the system.
