What are the instructions for using a hydraulic cylinder?

Installation Instructions

Before installation, the appearance of the hydraulic cylinder should be inspected to ensure that the cylinder barrel and piston rod have no bumps or deformations, and that the seals are intact. When installing, it is essential to ensure that the cylinder block is aligned with the load centerline to prevent seal damage or cylinder block wear caused by eccentric force. Before connecting the pipes, it is necessary to clean the interface impurities and tighten the joints with the specified torque to prevent leakage. The installation environment should be far away from dust, corrosive liquids and high-temperature heat sources. A protective cover should be installed if necessary.

Operating Standards

Before starting, check whether the oil level and temperature of the hydraulic system are normal (the oil temperature should be between 15 and 60℃), open the exhaust valve to release the air in the cylinder, and avoid crawling during operation. During operation, it is essential to ensure smooth pressure and flow regulation. It is strictly prohibited to exceed the rated working pressure instantaneously. Observe whether the piston rod moves smoothly. If there is any abnormal noise or clicking, the machine should be stopped immediately for inspection. It is strictly prohibited to disassemble or inspect the pipelines under the load of the hydraulic cylinder. The pressure must be released to zero before operation.

Maintenance and Upkeep

It is required to check daily for any leakage of the seals and scratches on the surface of the piston rods, and to clean up any dust or oil stains that may adhere in a timely manner. Check the quality of the engine oil regularly (it is recommended to do so monthly). If turbidity or emulsification occurs, it should be replaced in time. When replacing, the fuel tank and filter should be cleaned. Rust prevention treatment should be carried out on the piston rod every quarter, and the tightness of the connecting bolts should be checked. When idle for a long time, the piston rod should be retracted, coated with anti-rust oil and covered with a dust cover. Regular ventilation should also be carried out to prevent moisture.

Safety Warning

Wear protective gloves and goggles when operating to prevent injury caused by oil spraying. During the maintenance process, a "Do Not Operate" sign must be hung to prevent accidental startup. When leakage, abnormal noise or other faults are found, non-professionals are not allowed to disassemble it without authorization. Professional maintenance personnel must be contacted for handling. Change to the specified type of engine oil. It is strictly forbidden to mix different types of engine oil.
