What is a CNC machine vise?

CNC machine vise is an industrial clamp that we often use in machining. It is usually installed on milling machines and drilling machines. 3. Precautions for clamping workpieces in vises

(1) The machined surface of the workpiece must be higher than the jaws, otherwise the workpiece must be raised with parallel shims.

(2) In order to clamp firmly and prevent the workpiece from loosening during planing, a relatively smooth surface must be pressed against the shims and jaws. To make the workpiece close to the shims, it should be clamped while tapping the sub-surface of the workpiece with a hammer. The smooth surface should be tapped with a copper rod to prevent scratching the smooth surface.

(3) In order to prevent the jaws from being damaged and to maintain the machined surface, a copper sheet should be placed at the jaws when clamping the workpiece. Move the shims by hand to check the degree of clamping. If there is any looseness, it means that the workpiece and the shims are not well fitted. The flat-nose pliers should be loosened and re-clamped.

(4) Insufficient rigidity: The workpiece needs to be supported firmly to prevent the clamping force from deforming the workpiece.
